adidas mirrorQuite a few of us probaly hate shoe shopping. Having to try on about 273 shoes to finally find one you like slightly, really isn`t the best way to enjoy your saturday afternoon. All this is about to change thanks to Adidas and their virtual show fitting. They have introduced a virtual mirror at its store on the Avenue des Champs Elysees in Paris. Rather than having to remove your shoes and expose your holy socks 134 times, you can just try on the shoes virtually by placing your foot in front of the mirror to view a variety of virtual footwear.

This new system has been developed by he Heinrich-Hertz-Institut HHI in Berlin. The machine uses several cameras to capture your foot and creates a 3-D model of it in real-time, modeling different footwear.

But ofcourse if you don’t like Adidas footwear, your stuck with the traditional method of trying on shoes I`m afriad.
