Xbox 360 becomes ‘super-quiet’ with BenQ VAD6038 drive

The greatest demerit of Xbox 360 disc drive was its noise. At times, the noise inside surpassed to the sound produced by a defective moving fan. More than 10 million Xbox 360 users around the world are a victim of this noise. However, the good news that comes at this juncture is that Microsoft has now devoted itself in using the new BenQ VAD6038 drive, which runs ‘super-quiet’.

In comparison with the earlier used TS and HLG drives, the new drive manufactured by BenQ-LiteOn-Philips also loads the ‘stuff a bit faster and smoother’. So now with this new support, users can experience a quite environment with their Xbox 360.

    I’ll give it 3 weeks B4 they create a modified firmware for this drive.

    just bought a 360 with this was in it and wow what a big sound inprovement! very hard to find however microsoft seems to be dumping off there old stock . so good luck!
