New Versions of Godfather for PS3 and Wii announced

Two new versions of the ‘’ “Don’s Edition” for the , and “The Godfather: Blackhand Edition” for Nintendo’s video game and entertainment system are expected to release on March 2007. These two versions are the brainchild of Electronic Arts (EA) and Paramount Digital Entertainment (PDE). The new ‘Godfather’ is a joint venture of EA and PDE. This is an open-world gangster game and has been seen on retailers’ web sites since January 10.

GodfatherConsole’s motion sensing functionality has been used by both the new versions of the game. In the Don’s Edition” for the PS3, the gamers will gain control of the streets of New York. Added game play in the form of “The Corleone Expansion Pack” will also be included in the Don’s Edition. It will also have a new Shipyard and Rail yard transportation hubs to explore.

Whereas, in the Godfather: “Blackhand Edition” for Nintendo’s Wii video game, offers totally new ways to ‘go from street soldiers to Don’. This upgraded version also enables one to chat with the characters and extra facilities when going gets tough. It also uses Console’s motion sensing functionality. The motion sensitive controllers will open-up a new virtual world of games altogether. Based on the critically acclaimed book by Mario Puzo the classic film by Paramount Pictures, the two open-world games are really worth playing.
