It has been seen working its way around the Asian marketplace and now it has finally it is now available for almost everyone, I say almost everyone because although it is now up and running there are a couple things that need to be looked at;

1. Is the availability?

The subject of availability is one that needs to be looked at simply because, the firmware 3.10 means that the is able to use MPEG-4 AVC video streaming, yet there is a tiny catch, you also need to own a Location Free Base Station also built by Sony.

2. Does it actually make any difference at all?

It is possible to find other firmware that can do the job either the same or in some cases better, and if you went ahead with the Firmware 3.10 would that be it, or would there be other additions later on down the line that would also need to be purchased?

The whole idea is really to control the memory while viewing pages or listening to music, the quality can be impaired if the memory or the conserve memory function is turned on, this is a major consideration when thinking about using this product. However having said that, the PSP combined with the Firmware 3.10 is quite a good piece of kit for someone who is interested in using this device in this manner.

    I was wondering if you have done a write up for any other psp firmware updates? Your reviews are so easy to read. Other sites make it sound like you’re reading braille or something.
