Vodafone and Microsoft to launch mobile messenger

Microsoft is to partner with mobile phone giant Vodafone to produce an upgraded messenger system to be used as a duel purpose system that can be used on both the computer and mobile phone.

Vodafone already have their own messenger system for their own users, but it is like many of those branded messenger systems not many people use them, because they already use MSN or Yahoo as their main messenger system and it is pointless to sign up to loads of messenger systems, because of the time factor of going through them all to check your mail and messenger visits.

This would be an idea platform for Vodafone to gain a bigger market share by offering this messenger system to its phone subscribers, which can crossover to the computer, making the mobile and messenger services compatible.
