Your home PC can be accumulated over half of the electricity used in your home. Even you just left your Pc’s monitor switched on for 8 hours, it still can use up to 10 times electricity of your home Television!

According to the American Energy Wastage recently survey, showed there are over 60 million home PCs all across the United States and 12 million of the PCs often left on overnight or even longer. Around 12 billion kWh of energy been wasted or equivalent to USD$1.2billion wasted only in United States each year! If we try to convert this waste into carbon, we will get about 42 million tonnes and the main causing is we left the computers and monitors keep switch on, either when we use it or not. (more…)

Right, after reviewing some of the other lasers that WickedLasers sells I think it’s about time I give you guys a review of their Blu-ray Sonar. I believe this is the first and only one to have ever been available to the public. And who better to provide us with it then WickedLasers. I sincerely apologise for the delay for the competition results. Any how the winners have now been chosen. We were overwhelmed with the amount of entries we received, it was a hard task choosing the winners! The results are below:

The Zen Stone is the latest player from Creative that will directly compete head to head with Apple’s iPod Shuffle. Not only did the Zen Stone adopt the small size, but it also does not have a screen and has controls similar to that of the Shuffle. It also features a shuffle play along with normal list playing.

So today we will be looking at a highly powerful portable laser; this is not a toy by any means. The Evolution series is a new series of lasers offered by the well known company WickedLasers from www.wickedlasers.com. The Evolution series can be found in many different power outputs which are between 15mW and 125mW. We are lucky to be testing the 125mW Evo as they like to call it in the laser community and the 532nm Green LaserShades which are currently included with every purchase of the Evo range.

Sony appear to upping their game these days, it was not that long ago when to mention the name Sony was normally follwed by a laugh or two, but it has to be said that recently they have been coming out with some really cool stuff and the OLED TV’s are no exception, due to go into production very soon the organic light emitting diode televisions are likely to set the TV marketplace alight, not literly of course we do not really want to bring up the subject of batteries now do we?

The green machine moves in mysterious ways these days, wind power, wave power and now solar power, of course there is nothing new about solar power, we all know that it does not work, if you want to power a calculator then that is fine, but anything substantial like a light bulb of heating then forget it, the solar radiation is just not strong enough and cannot be relied upon to supply a constant stream of solar energy.

It has to be one of the best handsets around at the moment, the LG shine with its super large screen was launched earlier this year to much appraisal, it even picked up an award at the Shiny awards for Best Fashion Mobile Award, which is pretty good for a new phone.

Now to make the phone even better LG have added the shine phone to the many now that have 3G connectivity.

Depending on where you go, the prices will vary, but the best way to get one of these without having to fork out is probably to get it on a contract.

The presentation box is large and filled with soft foam – and quite rightly so. You would want maximum protection for something so valuable and precious. The top cover clicks into place thanks to the two hidden magnets on the front. It is recommended you keep your laser in here when not in use.

Rich people need laptops that match their class. They aren’t well off with a Sony or an Apple. They need laptops that are embedded with expensive jewelry to showcase their opulence. Luvaglio, a luxury goods creator has created the laptop which would cost in the range of millions of dollars.

The million dollar laptop has a 17” LCD anti-reflective screen, 128GB solid state disk space and a slot loading blue ray drive. Each laptop comes with a unique diamond which acts as the power button for the laptop. As each diamond is unique, it also acts a security feature in identification. The complete specifications of the laptop are not made known yet. Can we expect a million dollar cell phone from Luvaglio next?

There are some power (electric) companies in the US trying to send the cable signal through the electrical lines. The implementation is still in the observation stage. But, when it comes to running network signals through the electric lines, we have a proven gadget from Japan which has accomplished this feat.

Buffalo is a power line networking adapter designed and manufactured in Japan. Networking of computers could be established easily wherever the electrical lines are available. There is no need for new Ethernet cables to be laid out. (more…)

The object I hate the most every morning of my life is the alarm clock. When it starts ringing at 7:30 in the morning every day, the only thing that goes in my head is to slam this ‘waking up machine’ against the wall or toss it out of the window. Practically it would be possible but financially it wouldn’t be a smart move.

Roger Ibars has designed a prototype which is a simple alarm clock fitted with an old gaming gun retrofitted with a few tilt switches. The alarm clock could be controlled by tilting the gun in different directions but the elating feature is that the alarm clock would be silenced by pulling the trigger. There is nothing more satisfying than pulling the trigger on the ‘thing’ that woke me up.

The gun operated alarm clock is still a concept and it would be a ‘must-have’ gadget in my bedroom if the concept is realized and produced.

Apple has started shipping the revolutionary Apple TV, a box that lets you play the downloaded movies, pictures and music on TV. It has been priced at $299 and it comes inbuilt with a 40GB hard disk which can store up to 50 hours of movies, 9000 songs or 25,000 pictures.

The Apple TV box is a wireless module which is easy to install. It comes with a handy remote as well. It works both on Mac and PC with iTunes as its medium. So, the content sold on iTunes can be readily watched on TV without any conversions.
