Wolverine PMP: Huge 160GB HDD!
It doesn’t look pretty and it doesn’t look small. It certainly doesn’t look modern, more something from a few year back. How willing are you to sacrifice sophistication for a huge 160GB of storage? I’m pretty sure there are enough people out there to justify this: the Wolverine ESP 5160 media player. A 160GB, the equivalent of ~50.000 songs, 320(!) hours of video or simply 2 of the biggest iPods, should be enough for most music and video buffs.
The Wolverine ESP 5160 supports MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, AAC and CDA audio files as well as MPEG-1, MPEG-4, WMV9 and Xvid video files, which isn’t bad. It is also possible to connect it to your TV to watch videos and listen to the radio via the built-in FM receiver. If you don’t have a TV with you, the 320×240 pixel 3.6″ display should be large enough to watch movies comfortably on the move.
A lot of storage is a well and good, but the battery isn’t going to last forever. But again the Wolverine ESP 5160 points on this one: claiming to be able to play back audio for up to 13 hours and videos up to 4 hours.
Again, the Wolverine ESP 5160 – in my opinion – isn’t pretty and it is heavy (the website says 3.5kg!) and it isn’t cheap at $549.99; but: 160GB! What more do you want? Oh, it also comes with a remote and a fantastic 7-in-1 media card reader, so you can use any kind of media you have around.
