We’ve heard a lot about unusual sets of speakers. For your mp3 player, computer or laptop… And a lot of designs as well. Tower, wall-mountable, attached on glass and other surfaces. And here are the first speakers with firewire connection on the market. The excellent digital audio and the power needed are accessible through the built-in firewire cable. No usb, no AC power or batteries. Just plug in the firewire slot of your desktop, laptop or mp3 player and you’re good to go. They will be compatible both for Windows XP and Mac users. Sounds and especially looks interesting. These stylish and portable firewire speakers are designed by Neil Poulton. These speakers are available for pre-order for a price of 99$, and seem like a good choice to make, if you are looking for a high quality portable solution.

Be mindful that at this point these speakers aren’t compatible with Windows Vista. LaCie is currently working on a driver however and they expect to release it at the end of November.
My speakers are still sitting on the shelf waiting
Well, no driver available yet. Very annoying, to say the least…
