USB Drive That Blows!

This has to be one of the coolest gadgets ever; if it ever will truly be brought into the real world. Despite the fact that deleting files off your USB drive isn’t the most tedious task, how does knowing approximately how much space your USB has left without having to connect to a computer sound to you? It sounds pretty good to me.

Still in the idea stage, a Russian designer known by the name as Dima Komissarov created the Flashbag USB drive that will expand via a micro pump inside the drive. So, the more space you use, the more the USB drive will swell up. When the drive is turned off, the drive itself will maintain its swollen shape (that is if you have a lot of content in it) so without having to plug the drive in, you’ll know approximately how much of the drive you’ve used.
Since it is only in the idea stage, I’m honestly not sure what would happen if you sat on the blown up USB drive. It obviously won’t look too good in your pocket either, if you have a lot of content in it. Maybe the drive could be used only if you ever really carry the drive in your backpack, but it doesn’t seem like it will be the most pleasant thing for your ordinary pockets…

Maybe it would delete files if you squeezed it too.
Sounds pretty stupid to me. Stays blown up? The idea these days is SMALLER, SMALLER, SMALLER.. Why would you want to carry around a bloated flash drive? There are plenty of drives on the market that have LCD (or similar) displays that show you how much space in left (or in use) on it. No need to plug into your computer to read it. This idea is comical at best, and would only be useful as a novelty item.
That image is 3D, is this thing actually real?
Eli, if you’d read is says:

as well as
“Since it is only in the idea stage, I’m honestly not sure what would happen if you sat on the blown up USB drive.”
There’s already a thumbdrive on the market with a LCD bar graph that shows how much space is free on the drive, seems like a needlessly over-engineered gimmick
Nice idea, but how strong would it be
