Compaq C501NR

The Compaq Presario Notebook Model C501NR is another sub-$500 notebook. Apart from having Windows Vista Home Basic preinstalled, it features a 1.73GhZ Intel Celeron M processor and 512MB PC2-4200 DDR2 RAM. A 80GB S-ATA (5.400RPM) HDD will supply enough storage for a few movies, but you will have to keep them there as the C501NR does not have a DVD-R drive, instead having a DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive. Otherwise the Compaq Presario C501NR has the standard features for an entry level laptop: 15.4″ display, USB2.0 and 802.11b/g WiFi. Don’t expect any special graphics from the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (=Bestbuy, via Laptoping]
