The Panasonic SDR-S10 is tiny and still very usable for serious amateur video, and not exactly ugly either. Panasonic even claims that this is the worlds smallest SD camcorder.
The SDR-S10 supports upto 4GB of SDHC memory for recording and a fantastic 10x zoom lens. It has a 2.7″ display, but sadly no optical view finder. One main advantage compared to it’s rivals and older Panasonic models is the improved startup time, which Panasonic claims to be 1.7 seconds. Price and availability are sadly unknown, but a European release in May is rumored.

Ok, so was this designed to satisfy the You-tube generation or is it going to be useful as a real, family movies kind of video camera? I have read that the video quality is poor? The fact that it is water-proof and is built to be at least a little rugged as far as drops go make it seem like a good choice? Comments?
