Apple iPod Sales in 2006: 88 iPods per Minute

Apple and it’s retail partners managed to sell 46,432,000 iPods in 2006, which works out as 88 iPods per Minute or more than one iPod per second! That is an amazing amount of units sold. Apple sold more iPods in the time between October and December than anytime else, quite expectable due to the Christmas holiday season.
