ASUS P735 GPS phone

The Asus P735 is the 3G version of the P535: A cellphone with GPS. Not much is know about the P735 yet, except that it will feature a miniSD, Bluetooth and UMTS for connectivity and will not have a keyboard.

According to many forums and news articles, the Asus news release did not mention any GPS module. Sadly, this phone lost one of main features that turned it from a very interesting gadget to a cool gadget. The specs are still nice though, featuring a Marvell Xscale 520MHz processor and 64MB RAM, 256MB ROM and 2,8″ QVGA display with a screen resolution of 280*320 pixels. Connectivity is provided by GMS (quad band), GPRS, UMTS, 802.11 b/g WLAN, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 1.1. The built-in camera has 2 Megapixels and autofocus, which should be enough for some decent snapshots while on the run. The 1300mAh battery should be strong enough for some hours work and the whole thing weighs 143g including it, which is not too bad. […]
