The Willcomm JRC WX321J is a phone we will nearly certainly never see on the European market: it is a PHS phone. Personal Handy-phone System (PHS, sometimes also know as PAS)
is used in Asian countries, such as Japan and China (Peoples Republic and Republic of/Taiwan), and is not GSM based, but is rather a wireless extension of the traditional landlines, similar to DECT.
Still it is an interesting phone, especially as I personally also use PHS in China and therefor might be able to get my hand on one of these later in the year, as it offers one quite special feature: a fingerprint scanner. It also comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display and a 1.3 Megapixel camera, as well as a web browser and document viewer. Data can be read from and stored to a microSD card.
Traditionally PHS phones have been on the very cheap and simple side of the market, and even though this is not anything special compared to modern GSM/3G telephones, it is quite a difference to other PHS handsets.
