Joost - too early?

joost_logo.gifThe media is all over the new company founded by the people behind Skype: Joost. Joost is trying to go even further than Youtube in revolutionizing how we watch TV. The only thing I ask myself is: is Joost not a little ahead of time, especially for the European market? I ask myself this because of a quote in TheRegister: “Joost tells us the bandwidth requirement is a 500mbit/s line”. Sadly I have not seen any 500mbit internet connections available in the UK or Germany and I expect it to be similar in all European countries, at least in the affordable consumer price region.
