Telefonica wants the iPhone

As we and other sources have already reported, the will be sold in the US by only one company: Cingular. There seems to be similar plans for Europe, as the German gulli (German; Google Translation) reports. Telefonica, the large Spanish telecommunication company, is negotiating with Apple. Seeing as Telefonica owns a large proportion of the South-American market as well as owning O2 it seems very likely that they will receive the deal. I wouldn’t be surprised…
